Five of Stephen’s classmates from his music therapy course at Queen Margaret University took part in the Glenlivet 10k run on Sunday 14th April 2013.
The girls raised over £1600 for Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland in memory of Stephen. The girls all completed the 10k route and we hope their legs were not too sore at the finish line.

Here is a short message from them:
“Stephen was one of our classmates on the music therapy course at Queen Margaret University. Stephen died on the 25th May 2012 just after completing his first year of the degree after complications following a heart by-pass operation.
As we are nearing the end of our course we wanted to do something to remember him before we all go our separate ways, whilst supporting the work of such a great charity.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated, thank you!”
We would like to wish the girls all the best with their run and fund-raising.
On Friday 25th May 2012 we received the sad news that our Guitarist and dear friend, Stephen Hamilton, had passed away.
We are all deeply shocked and saddened by what has happened to such a wonderful person.
Stephen was a great creative force within the band and his passion for music and live performance was immense.
Stephen’s input into the Nackytoosh sound helped shape our style of ceilidh music and his memory will live on in our music.
Stephen was a great guitar player, friend and band-mate and will be greatly missed by us all.
